A BIT ABOUT ME
I am a resident of the Lower East Side of Manhattan, NYC. I have 36 years experience with fitness training, primarily with runners and walkers, from ages 12 to 87. I provide a supportive as well as constructive environment where people are able to reach their potential. I have found that flexibility and commitment are two dynamics that help one to reach their stated goals. I have worked with groups, but primarily work with individuals. With a clients input I develop comprehensive fitness routines based on identified goal targets. I have found that people CAN improve …utilizing a program that is intelligent, supportive, systematic, scientific, and flexible based on the individuals abilities and level of commitment. Both speed and endurance CAN be taught ,as well as adapted.I believe that self improvement is one of the critical “keys”to Life success. This applies equally to the person just starting on a fitness path as well as to the Olympic athlete.
I am a lifelong runner and have competed in Track and Field as well as road races and cross-country for over 45 years. I have competed in track races at 100, 200, 400, and 800 meters; in relays of 4x200 4x400 and 4 x800, as well as Sprint Medley. I have participated in road races of 1 mile, 2 miles, 5K, 10K, half-marathon and full marathon distances, 3 NYC marathons, and 1 Marine Corp marathon. I remain active in U.S A. Track and Field today. In April 2016, I was a member of the Lower East Side Track Club that won a Penn Relay Championship title in the 4 x 400 relay. We were the only club or University from the Metropolitan area to win a Penn title.
I currently hold two N.Y State records at 200 and 400 meters. (men age 55-59) I have won several National Titles as well as one World Championship title. To date I have been a member of 6 World Record setting relays teams.
